Professional Dance Training starting 2010: To enable a time relevant training in classical Indian dance, a modular program for professional dancers will be offered starting summer 2010 in stage performance training, teaching and movement analysis. The modules can be put together at individual convenience. To complete certification however, all the modules are mandatory. Intensive modules will be offered in Europe and India, weekend modules in Berlin, Germany.  For further information contact:

Rajyashree Ramesh is a Berlin and Bangalore based dancer, choreographer and master teacher with training in Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi from various renowned masters in India. She is trained in classical Carnatic music, yoga and is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst, currently into research in the language of gestures and emotions in Germany. Apart from several solo and ensemble performances, lectures, paper presentations, lecture-performances and workshops internationally in the last three decades, she has choreographed multinational multidisciplinary stage productions ranging from traditional to innovative themes for cultural institutions in Germany. A major focus of her current work is to correlate the ancient wisdom found in performing arts to modern movement analysis and current research in various fields. Over the past 15 years she has trained several dancers of European and Indian origin. Many of these dancers have been applying the knowledge acquired to their respective professions, thus enabling a broad-based application of the Indian performing arts.
